Art runs in the family.

My family’s love of art reaches back to art teachers in 19th-century England. I grew up surrounded by artists, and at eight years old, I began drawing lessons with my grandfather. Saturday mornings with my brother and cousins taught me how to look closely, experiment, and enjoy making something by hand.

As a teenager, I worked at my grandfather’s sign company, Young Sign Co., where I fell in love with graphic design. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design from the University of Kansas and study design in London, Edinburgh, and Germany.

Over more than 20 years as a graphic designer and art director, I’ve contributed my expertise to renowned advertising agencies, the Department of Defense, specialized marketing firms, and prestigious organizations. My career highlights include a decade-plus contract as a senior designer for a $65 billion organization, a global senior designer role for a $4 billion company, and art direction for numerous high-profile brands. That experience still shapes every illustration, composition, and detail I create today.
